An early Edo wakizashi, in superb period koshirae featuring dragon menuki and tsuba, phoenix fuchi/kashira, rain dragon kogai and tiger decorated kodzuka. Mino school blade 37 cm o-tanto with bohi either side, silver foil wrapped habaki. Overall 61.5 cm. Provenance: Estate of Denis Dutton (1944-2010) previously with Webb's 2011.
