A rare Biedermeier birch and mahogany architectural secretaire abattant, circa 1820, comprising two sections, the top section with dentil moulding above columns flanking a single door, opening to a storage space with concave sides. The primary lower section with dentil moulding and columns flanking a drawer, above a fall-front door enclosing a fitted mahogany and marquetry interior, comprising drawers and an architectural themed cabinet. The lower drawer extending out as a writing desk with leather inset, all above three lower drawers. The whole veneered in birch with string inlay, 109 cm high,103 cm wide, 52 cm deep
