A maritime model of a ship, Soleil Royal, by Robin Port-Louis, the hardwoods used to create this model include bois noire, boise jeaunne, catia, bois de rose, bois de fer. The Soleil Royal was a French symbol of grace and power. Being built in Brest in 1669, during the reign of Louis XIV (the sun King), and therefore named in honour of the reigning king.
