A silver, tortoiseshell and mother of pearl pique box, the rectangular lid with silver and mother of pearl decoration of classical figures in a landscape. Naples, mid 18th century. Length 10.5 cm, depth 3.5 cm, height 2.2 cm. Provenance: The collection of Dr Trevor Hyde, Sydney. Condition: tortoiseshell in condition with very minor rim frits. Inlay complete, with only tiny splits to parts of the silver.Addition photos supplied.
