A Gerrit Bramer, Amsterdam, silver early 18th century pair cased watch, full plate brass movement, silver regulation, square baluster pillars, movement signed 'Gerrit Bramer, Amsterdam'. White enamel dial with Roman arcaded chapter ring with outer five minute divisions, gilt hands, plain silver inner and outer casing. Holland, circa 1740. Provenance: The collection of Dr Trevor Hyde, Sydney. Other Notes: Bramer was listed as working in Amsterdam between 1712-1760. Condition: the outer case has some splitting around the dial, some dents and scratches consistent with age. The enamel dial is in good condition with fine surface scratches, the hands with minor discolouration.
