A pair of flintlock officers pistols signed Dixon, Leicester, circa 1820s, 0.75 musket bore octagonal barrels, twist sight barrels each signed Leicester and having a gold inlayed line at the breech. With platinum lined touch holes, tangs each with rear sight, engraved bolt locks and each is signed Dixson, also having stepped tail, semi rainproof pan with roller. Walnut three- quarter stock with chequered butt, engraved iron mounts including trigger guards, pineapple finial, engraved brass fore-end caps, iron stirrup ramrods and Birmingham proof marks seen on both having 20.3 cm barrels.
