A rare Georgian, Irish silver coffee pot George I sterling silver coffee pot, by John Hamilton of Dublin assayed 1723. An esteemed Freeman of the Company of goldsmiths Dublin. Having a tapering cylindrical form, engraved with rococo style scrolls with central blank cartouche and coat of arms, that being a griffin rampant, with the name' Rakins' engraved beneath. Fitted with a hinged, shallow dome lid and acorn finial and having a wooden scroll carved handle. Total weight 790 grams, 27 cm high.
