A good Chinese bronze censer, oval with pierced, domed cover, cast in high relief with dragons and phoenixes. Horizontal eight character mark to the lid's rim: made in the 10th year of the reign of the Qianlong emperor. The walls in relief with qilin and horses on an encircling wavy ground, mask ring handles to the sides, domed foot with relief lappets. Raised on a fitting blackwood stand. 20.5 x 16 x 30.5 cm.
