An unusual Martin Brothers salt-glazed stoneware teapot and cover, dated 1879, of globular form with a high domed finial, boldly incised with scrolling leaves glazed in blue against a mottled brown ground, incised mark R. Martin, London and Southall, 5.5.7.79. Tiny flake chip to underside of spout.
