1817 Lottery Handbills - England - Thomas Bish, Twenty-two different printed handbills advertising an upcoming lottery (Jan.21) each with an engraved illustration of a national 'Type' and comical verse -- includes England, china, Russia, South Africa, Algiers, Corsica (depicting Napoleon), Ireland and Italy, etc., Thomas Bish (1779-1843) - English proprietor of lottery offices at Charing cross, Cornhill and several provincial cities.
