The shareholders and 'Sleeping shareholders are listed in cartouches at top left and right. Overall 55 x 45 cm., the state library of Victoria has a later version of this poster, with the mine cross sections further advanced. Located on Cobblers lead in Sebastopol, the Prince of Wales mine was formed in 1862. On 23 June 1863 shares were quoted on the Melbourne stock exchange at £1,750 each. The Prince of Wales Mines closed in 1875 having yielded 209,071 ounces of gold.
