Collingwood: The 1955 Membership fob No.21 (with original bar and chain) presented to former player, Charlie Dibbs (1905 - 1960). This was the first year in which Collingwood issued metal and enamel fobs to members. We have previously offered only one other example, No.148, in August 2014. It sold for $4,270 including Bp. Charlie Dibbs played 216 games for Collingwood between 1924 and 1935. Collingwood was having a golden era during his career and he is acknowleged as having been instrumental in the team winning 5 premierships out of the 6 grand finals in which he appeared. He played at full back. Dibbs was a Collingwood life member and in 2007 he was inducted into the Magpies' Hall of Fame. Provenance: the family, by descent.
