Big Fight Pictures', (Feb.28) The Age 'How Rose Won Title', (Feb.28) Herald 'I Was Rose's Second - Special', (Feb.29) Herald 'The Champ Home: City Goes Wild - Pictures', (Mar.4) The Sun 'Lionel Rose Tells His Story', also 1970-71 editions of Boxing News (10) and 1970 (Jan.) issue of 'Fighter' magazine, condition variable. (16 items), [Lionel Rose defeated Fighting Harada over 15 rounds to win the World Bantamweight Title on 25th February 1968. A public reception following the fight at Melbourne Town Hall attracted a crown of more than 100,000. Rose successfully defended the title three times, before losing his title to Ruben Olivares in August 1969. In 2003 he was inducted into Australian Boxing Hall of Fame, and in 2010 was elevated to 'Legend' status.]
