A Colonial rosewood veneered cedar bracket clock, the twin train chiming movement by T.T. Jones & Son, 316 George Street Sydney with silvered dial, Roman numerals and foliate engraved spandrels, the plain moulded case with glass panels to the top and sides, third quarter 19th century, height 23 cm, width 20 cm, depth 16 cm. Provenance: The Ruth Simon Collection, privately acquired from the above in 2005. Other Notes: Timothy Tillotson Jones was born in Islington, London. He emigrated to New South Wales in the mid-1850s and established T.T. Jones & Sons in George Street, Sydney.
