A Colonial chip carved frame, the all over repeating geometric design with roundels to each corner, incised to the reverse: 'NZ- Fr- 1908. Lotte' and 'Sept. 21st 1887', with a later mount geometrically inlaid with various timbers and inset with a photo of a young girl, dated 1887, 38.5 x 30 cm. Provenance: The Ruth Simon Collection, privately acquired from the above in 2005
