A Viennese silver plated bronze emu by Bergman, Vienna, naturalistically cast, on a circular base inscribed 'Nam Greb' with foundry stamp and presentation inscription 'To Harry Lauder. A souvenir of a glorious Success, Sydney, July 1st 1914, from J & N. Tait.', height 16 cm. Other Notes: Harry Lauder, the popular Scottish singer and comedian had a hugely successful tour of Melbourne and Sydney from 26th March until 1st July, 1914. J & N Tait were entrepreneurs and concert promoters in Melbourne.
