A large George III sterling silver sauce tureen, by Peter and Anne Bateman, London, circa 1795, the boat-shaped tureen with reeded decoration, flanked by two elongated scroll-form reeded handles, surmounted by a detachable lid with repeating acanthus motifs and an urn finial, all raised on an oval raised pedestal base.
