A Chinese Neolithic painted jar, circa 3rd to 2nd millennium B.C. The large baluster form terracotta jar with two large lug handles to the sides, painted with black geometric designs to the sides. Accompanied by a thermoluminescence test certificate from the University of Wollongong, NSW, Australia, stating its age to be approximately 2840 years BP. 39.5 cm high, 34 cm wide
