A Straits Chinese mother of pearl and marble inlaid hardwood settee, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), circa 19th century, the honey-coloured hardwood carved and intricately inlaid with mother of pearl designs including precious emblems, flowers, birds and deer, inscribed with characters to the backrest and armrests, the back inlaid with three grey and white dreamstone marble panels. 113 cm high, 188 cm wide, 61 cm deep
