A Chinese archaistic bronze 'Ding' censer with Jade-Embellished hardwood lid, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), 18th century or earlier, raised on three cabriole legs with masks, a loop handle emerging from either side, and taotie masks to the front and rear of the vessel, the whole covered in a beautiful verdigris patina. Together with a fitted hardwood stand, and a domed hardwood lid embellished with a jade hat finial carved as a lingzhi mushroom group (probably Ming Dynasty). 33.5 cm high, 28 cm diameter
