A Chinese white jade inlaid sceptre, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, the white jade plaques each carved with scenes of scholars and attendants in rocky landscapes, set into a hardwood sceptre. Together with the original invoice dated 1981. 11 cm high, 54 cm long. Provenance: Purchased from 'The jade Gallery', Melbourne, 1981, by a relative of the vendor.
