A Chinese pale celadon jade seal paste box and brush washer, the paste box Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), circa 19th century, the seal paste box carved in the form of a flattened pomegranate fruit, the stone very well hollowed, and of even pale celadon green hue. The brush washer in the form of a leaf with cicada and butterfly, of white jade. The paste box 2 cm high, 8 cm wide. The washer 3 cm high, 11 cm wide. Provenance: a private collection from Adelaide, collected in Hong Kong in the 1970s and early 1980s, sold in these rooms on 8 October 2018, lot 237
