A blue and white baluster vase Qing dynasty, Shunzhi period 17th century, boldly painted on the exterior with a phoenix in flight chasing a qilin in a continuous garden of bamboo, rockwork and tall banana palms, below formal borders around the shoulders and short slightly waisted neck with lipped rim, 28.5 cm high.
