A blue and white winepot and cover Ming dynasty, Chongzheng period c. 1640, of hexagonal form, the ovoid body set with an upright rectangular handle, painted on the exterior with insects among detached sprays of seasonal flowers below a blue-ground lappet border around the shoulders and pendant stiff leaves on the base, knopped and domed cover, 26.5 cm high.
