A rare elephant's tooth and silver table snuff box, oblong with silver framed hinged lid and base, the walls, sides and top of sectional slices of polished elephant's molar, a plaque inside the lid engraved: 'This box was made out of Elephants Molar in 1756 for a Missionary in India'. Hallmarked for London 1832 by Edward Edwards II. 9.7 x 6.5 x 3.4 cm.
