Important Biedermeier fruitwood, burr wood and parquetry bureau cabinet, probably Austrian, c. 1820, of exceptional architectural form boasting a domed cupola flanked by four ebonised engaged columns, the mirrored interior with a chequerboard floor, the fall front opening to reveal a fitted interior concealing a secret drawer, having two long drawers below and resting on four ormolu hairy paw feet, height 202.5 cm, width 106.5 cm, depth 61 cm.
