1956 Carnival: Simpson Medal 9ct gold with footballer, grandstand and text 'Dr Fw Simpson Medal/1956'. The back is engraved 'Wanfl, WA v SA, 16.6.56, Fairest & Best, G Farmer'. [The Simpson Medal is an odd award. From 1945, it was awarded to the best WA player in an interstate match. From 1946 it was also awarded to the best player in the WAFL Grand Final]
