A rare English 17th century provincial silver seal top spoon, with an acanthus baluster seal top, remnants of gilding, flattened hexagonal stem, fig shape bowl with small rat-tail. Quatrefoil mark twice to the stem back and once to the bowl. Prick engraved to the seal MS 1643 MI. Length 17 cm, 44.7gm. Provenance: The Beverley Allen Collection
