Two Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen 'Series 7' armchairs, circa 1955 chromed metal frames with black lacquer plywood seats and armrests, stencilled manufacturers stamps note: the early version of the manufacturers stamp indicates that these are likely to be from one of the very first productions of this design in the mid-late 1950's. Scratches and losses to later painted frames. Wear to finish on all arms including loss to veneer approx 4 cm to one. Loss of veneer and over-painted on one seat approx 10 cm diameter. Rubber support bushes and feet have perished. Scratches and marks throughout the longest 15 cm. Structurally comprised. Require specialist restoration / conservation and should not used until that point.
