A one-off piece 'Le dragonfly en Tremblant' handmade Art Nouveau inspired brooch. New Zealand made by artist Julian Bartrom. This brooch is entirely handmade in 18ct gold and set with blue topaz, peridot, green, blue and pink tourmaline, ceylonese sapphires and ninety-three brilliant cut diamonds. Cabochons were custom-cut for the upper wings with their transparency revealing delicate veins. The wings are mounted on a gold spring and given the slightest movement will tremble as if to fly. Winner design of 'The people's choice award' and finalist in the New Zealand jewellery design competition in 2011, total weight of coloured stones 7.28carats, total weight of diamonds 0.94 carats, total weight of brooch 28.20 grams.
