Pierced and decorated pillars. Movement signed 'Markwick, London'. The engraved silver dial with recessed moonphase, Roman numerals, single blued steel hand signed 'Markham'. Plain silver inner case stamped VF59. The red tortoiseshell outer case with intricate silver pique work featuring a scene of a house with surround borders of various symbols. Retailers: S. Freeman watch and Clockmaker, Swinderby. Circa 1730. Other Notes: Markwick Markham specialised in clocks and watches for the Turkish market and worked with Borrell up to 1813.
