A George Prior triple cased silver and tortoiseshell verge watch for the Turkish market, brass full plate verge movement, chain fusee, pierced and engraved balance cock, pierced hybrid pillars, silvered regulator movement signed 'Geo Prior, London' and numbered 34748. The plain silver inner case hallmarked London 1808 Richard James. The white enamel dial with black Turkish hour markers, black outer minute divisions with Turkish five minute markers, blued steel beetle and poker hands. Dial signed 'George prior, London'. A plain silver hinged case, silver and tortoiseshell outer case with stud decoration with a heavily engraved outer case decorated with traditional Middle Eastern designs, silver fob chain and key. Circa 1808.
