A John Mulford (1716-1726) or John Mulford Son (1748-1750) quarter repeating open faced key wind watch, with repousse pair case. The gilt plate movement with finely pierced and engraved balance cock and three-arm balance, silvered regulator, squared pillars. The gilt dial with black Roman numerals, blued steel hands. The dial and movement signed 'J. Mulford London'. The gold case with pierced decoration, the outer hinged case decorated with repousse work depicting a mythological scene of two figures with an angel above the pierced border with four vignettes of putti.
