A 17th century William and Mary fall fronted cabinet on stand, superbly veneered in walnut over various woods, including oak, pine and walnut. The large front panel herringbone crossbanded and veneered with repeated circular motifs and opening to reveal exquisitely oyster veneered and crossbanded drawers and compartments around a central cupboard. The cupboard containing further drawers and the top compartments with removable liners revealing hidden drawers. Retaining the original bronze hinged slide mechanism and elaborate gilt bronze handles and escutcheons. The stand with barley twist legs and a serpentine stretcher on bun feet.
