A 17th century Italian walnut Prie Dieu, the rectangular hinged top with gadrooned edge above the apron and carved rosettes on turned supports. The base with a hinged lid enclosing a compartment on a platform base with gadrooned edge and molded plinth. Italy, circa 1680. Length 71 cm, width 30 cm, height 82 cm.
