A Chinese Yixing Zisha double barrel teapot, Guangxu period (1875-1908), potted from refined purple sand from Yixing, this teapot is in a rare double barrel style simulating a pair of bound handscrolls, the lid surmounted by a qilong handle. Accompanied by an original invoice dated 1999. 10.7 cm high, 22.5 cm wide. Provenance: Purchased from the Shao Xing city cultural relics and antique centre, 1999. Condition: large rim chips to the inner rim of the lid, three small chips to the footrim.
