A Burmese bronze figure of General Maha Bandula, Pegu, circa 1920, the finely cast figure depicted in elaborate ceremonial armour, standing on one leg, the right hand bearing a sword. On a wooden base with old patina. 24.5 cm high. Arm span 17.5 cm, other notes: Maha Bandula (1782-1825) was commander in- chief of the Royal Burmese armed Forces from 1821 until his death in April 1825 in the first Anglo-Burmese war. Condition: object missing from rasied hand. Approximately 1570 gm
