A Chinese carved gilt wood guardian lion, Qing Dynasty (1912-1949), late 19th century, carved in the form of a recumbent guardian lion, with red lacquer and remnant gilding. 9 cm high, 14.5 cm wide. Condition: some minor chips and cracks, and overall wear to gilding.
