A large Chinese famille rose hu-form vase, Republic period (1912-1949), of archaistic hu form, with taotie mask and ring handles, with continuous famille rose landscape decoration and gilding against an iron red ground. Four character 'Hongxian' mark to the base. 39 cm high, 25 cm diameter. Star crack to the base, some minor wear to the gilding, approximately 3475 gm weight
