A Chinese inscribed brown jade bi and stand, Republic period (1912-1949) or earlier, the jade of orange-brown hue, inscribed to one side in seal script, on a fitted hardwood stand. Together with an inscribed Republic period paper rubbing of the bi. Provenance: the de Voogd collection, the jade 11.6 cm diameter, 0.5 cm thick. The stand 10.5 cm high, 11.5 cm wide. Condition: approximately 110 gm total weight including stand.
