A Chinese blue and white dragon charger, Wanli period (1572-1620), decorated with a winged dragon amidst scrolling clouds to the center, with flying cranes and clouds to the cavetto. Four character mark to the base. Provenance: the de Voogd collection, 7 cm high, 35 cm diameter. One chip to the rim, multiple firing flaws including small firing fissures, glaze sticks and pin holes and blow outs. Kiln grit adhering to footrim. Wear to glaze throughout particularly stacking wear to the centre and rim. Approximately 1540 gm weight.
