A Chinese amber glazed bowl, Liao Dynasty (916-1125), covered in an amber glaze with three pontil marks to the interior, together with an old Chinese brocade covered box with a calligraphic inscription to the top. Provenance: the de Voogd collection, 4 cm high, 17.5 cm diameter. Two small chips to the rim, one hairline crack to the rim, and some wear to the glaze in the interior. Approximately 1278 gm total weight including Chinese box.
