A Chinese Gongyi white-ware covered jar, Tang Dynasty (618-907), circa 8TH/9th century, a white jar covered in a clear crackled glaze with a domed lid surmounted by bud-form finial, together with an old fitted silk brocade Chinese box. Provenance: the de Voogd collection, 16 cm high, 12.5 cm diameter. The crackle with minor red staining a firing crack to the side near the base. One broken repair with associated over painting to the lid, old wear to the brocade box. Approximately 1804gms total weight including brocade box.
