A Chinese Longquan celadon carved and moulded dragon bowl, Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368), a large bowl with a sprig moulded dragon to the centre, carved scrolling foliage to the cavetto, and a wide flattened rim. The exterior with carved lotus petals. Provenance: the de Voogd collection, 8 cm high, 35 cm diameter. Wear to the glaze in the interior, particularly to the high points of the moulded dragon. Discolouration to the celadon to one section. Wear to the rim, and one small stained star crack to the glaze on the cavetto to the interior (this is not a body crack, it does not follow through to the other side), approximately 2182 gm weight.
