A Chinese Longquan barbed foliate rim celadon charger, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), circa late 14th century, decorated with an incised chrysanthemum and foliage to the centre, covered in an even sea-green celadon glaze, the base with an unglazed circular terracotta-coloured ring within the foot rim. Provenance: the de Voogd collection, 5.5 cm high, 33 cm diameter. A small iron spot to the centre, three small pin holes to the front and a glaze stick to the flatterned rim, wear to the footrim from normal use. Some minor wear to the interior. Approximately 2336 gm weight.
