A large French bronze and rouge marble mantel clock, 19th century, the patinated bronze figure modelled as a young female receiving a love note from cupid, bearing a title plaque reading 'Le messenger Par Anglade', and also signed Anglade to side, all above a classical style rouge marble base inset with a circular dial, signed, 'Diguet Boulay a' Chateaudun', the marble nicely mounted with ormolu and raised on splayed legs. With an 8 day countwell strike movement. 78 cm high, 47 cm wide, 22 cm deep
