A Russian niello silver snuff box, probably Alexander Afanasiev, Moscow, circa 1880S, the small rectangular box with rounded corners, the whole covered in repeating geometric motifs in niello, enclosing a gilt wash interior. Marked Aa, along with 84. 2.3 cm high, 7.4 cm wide, 4.9 cm deep. Approximately 90 gms weight.
