A large Dresden porcelain urn on stand, by Carl Thieme, Potschappel, circa 1900, the baluster rococo style urn, in the Augustus Rex manner, finely painted with a classical scene to front with a floral bouquet to verso, the handles modelled as nymphs holding garlands of flowers, raised on a shaped square stand. The whole adorned with floral encrustations. The lid finial in the form of crown supported by amorini and bearing the arms of Saxony and Poland. The urn and stand both marked with underglaze T over crossed swords. 71 cm total height including base, the base 26.5 cm wide and deep
