A matching pair of Wedgwood creamware armorial dishes, 18th century, both with a colourful and distinctive border incorporating the Honywood crest at the top. To the centre of each plate are the arms of Honywood impaling Courtney, celebrating the marriage between Francis Courtney and Sir John Honywood on December 13th, 1779. The plate impressed Wedgwood to reverse with letter B, the bowl bearing no marks. The John scarce collection, 24.8 cm and 16.6 cm diameter, Exhibitions: the larger plate was exhibited at the National Gallery of Victoria in their exhibition, ''Three centuries of Wedgwood: Art, Industry and Design', curated by Margaret Legge in 1995.
