Three English octagonal soft paste armorial plates, 18th century and later, the first being an English replacement for a Chinese export service, decorated with the arms of Murray of Touchdam and Polmaise with the motto ''Tout Prest'. Circa 1755. The second with painted flower sprigs to the rim, decorated with the arms of the Douglas family, together with the motto 'Spero', circa 1800. The third being an English replacement for a Chinese export service decorated with the arms of Tyndall surrounded by mantling and garlands of flowers. Thomas Tyndall married Alicia Smith on 10th September 1756 at Bristol. The John scarce collection, 21.1 cm, 21.5 cm and 22.3 cm wide respectively. Approximately 1050 gms total weight for three plates together.
